Sunderland's bright start to the Championship campaign has seen a number of first-teamers rewarded with international call-ups. The Black Cats are currently sat in fifth place with just under a quarter of the campaign played.
Tony Mowbray's side have picked up 15 points from the opening ten games and three players have been called up for their senior international sides, with two more called up for their respective under-21s. Jewison Bennette rounded off an incredible week for the Wearsiders, scoring the equaliser on his just his second appearance in a red and white shirt.
The Costa Rican will represent his country in friendlies against South Korea on Friday, 23 September and Uzbekistan on Tuesday, 27 September. After a bright start to life on Wearside, he'll be hoping his momentum carries on into the upcoming games and he can force his way into World Cup contention.

Sunderland skipper Corry Evans has been called up with Northern Ireland to face Kosovo on Saturday, 24 September and Greece on Tuesday, 27 September in the Nations League, while Trai Hume will represent the under-21s in a double header against Scotland on Thursday,22 and Sunday, 25 September. Bailey Wright rounds off the first-team internationals.
The Black Cats defender has missed the last two Sunderland games for personal reasons, but has been called up for the Socceroos double header against New Zealand. Australia will face the All Whites on Thursday, 22 and then Sunday, 25 September.
Abdoullah Ba made his debut for the Black Cats against Watford and will represent France's U20's for a double header against Tunisia U20s. The games are set to take place on Wednesday, 21 and then Saturday, 24 September.
