Twenty more strike days are set to go ahead in the UK in for the rest of the February and next month with the first day of March looking to be the biggest day for industrial action. Rail staff, ambulance workers, teachers, university staff and border force are all set to go on strike before 30 March.
Tens of thousands of workers are set to stage walkouts as they seek better pay and conditions. This comes after unions launched a series of strikes in December which included the largest NHS strike in history and the biggest walkout of ambulance staff in three decades.
For the first time in history, tens of thousands of nurses took part in strikes along with the first ever physiotherapists strike. Teachers, train drivers and civil servants have also seen their biggest walkout in a decade.
