A number of schools in Scotland will be closed today as a thick blanket of snow covers many parts of the country.
With areas in the north of the country now waking up to a third day of winter weather, teachers have made the decision to close their doors.
It comes as the north and northeast of the country exits a two-day yellow warning for snow and ice. However, more central parts of Scotland were be placed under a further snow warning this morning at 3am.
