Full list of people getting a 100% Christmas bonus next week on top of cost of living lump sums

Thousands of Irish households under pressure due to the cost of living crisis are set to receive a Christmas Bonus payment next week.

Those on social welfare will receive the payment from December 5 on top of once-off payments made to most recipients in recent weeks after being announced in the budget.

From next Monday, thousands of social welfare recipients will get the bonus, which is effectively a double weekly payment, just in time for the Christmas season when families and older people are struggling.

In a matter of days, this year’s 100% Christmas Bonus will be paid to anyone who has been receiving a qualifying social welfare payment - for the past 12 months at least, in some cases.

The government has confirmed that in the week beginning December 5, the payment will be sent out - but only be paid if your existing payment is €20 or more.

You will receive the bonus if you are getting any of the following:

  • Back to Education Allowance
  • Back to Work Enterprise Allowance

  • Benefit Payment for 65-year-olds
  • Blind Pension
