On Friday, Marks and Spencers issued a widespread recall of products amid salmonella fears.
The 12 popular lunch items included in the recall range from sandwiches to salads as the Food Safety Authority issued a consumer warning.
According to the recall notice, there are fears that the products have the possible presence of salmonella in several chicken items.

The FSAI statement reads: "Marks & Spencer is recalling some products containing chicken due to the possible presence of Salmonella.
"Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches."

- Coronation chicken deli filler with use-by dates from May 11 to May 17 inclusive, with the barcode 00465083
- 14-piece classic sandwich platter with the use by dates from May 11 to May 13 inclusive with the barcode number 00877572.
- Classic mini roll selection with use-by dates of May 11 and May 12 with the barcode number 00353793.
- Chicken and bacon caesar wrap with use-by dates of May 11 and May 12, and the barcode number 00351416
- Made without wheat Gluten-free chicken and bacon sandwich with use-by dates from May 11 to May 13 inclusive with the barcode 00158190
- Roast chicken and bacon sandwich with use-by dates from May 11 to May 13 inclusive with the barcode 00301350

People are asked not to eat the products, with the FSAI's warning adding: "People infected with Salmonella typically develop symptoms between 12 and 36 hours after infection, but this can range between 6 and 72 hours.
"The most common symptom is diarrhoea, which can sometimes be bloody. Other symptoms may include fever, headache and abdominal cramps.
“The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days. Diarrhoea can occasionally be severe enough to require hospital admission.
“The elderly, infants, and those with impaired immune systems are more likely to have more severe illness."
