A handful of Lloyds Pharmacy branches are set to close over the next few months.
The majority of the sites are located in Sainsbury's stores across the country with one site in Devon being taken over by new owners.
Lloyds announced earlier this year that it was to close all 237 of its pharmacies in Sainsbury’s supermarkets by the end of the year.
The first site set to close will be the Lloyds branch in the Sainsbury's Civic Way store in Swadlincote.
The doors are set to close for good in a few weeks' time on May 30.
The next site will be the Lloyds on Fore Street in Okehampton, Devon at the end of May.
Although this standalone site - not the Lloyds Pharmacy brand - will be taken over by new owners - which will be a relief to residents nearby.
A further three closures are set for June and another Lloyds Pharmacy sites will be shutting in July.
However, Lloyds has said the closing date could change as plans are being determined on a branch-by-branch basis.
A Lloyds Pharmacy spokesperson told the Mirror: "In January 2023 Lloyds Pharmacy announced the withdrawal of pharmacy services from all Sainsbury’s stores, to take place throughout 2023.
"Our teams remain committed to helping patients easily find a suitable alternative provision.
"As part of this, they are keeping patients informed of when services from their specific pharmacy will end so that they can transfer their nominations to an alternative provision.”
Lloyds said the cut to its services followed a recent strategic review where it blamed “changing market conditions”.
Lloyds has not shared how many pharmacy workers the closures will affect.
At the time of the announcement, a Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “LloydsPharmacy is withdrawing pharmacy services from our stores over the coming months.
“We will work with them to ensure customers are clear on how they can access an alternative pharmacy provision to meet their needs.”
