Leeds postcodes are among hundreds across the country that will face delays in deliveries from DPD during the run-up to Christmas this year.
The parcel delivery company has claimed the delays to its next-day delivery service have been caused by a knock-on effect of industrial action taken by Royal Mail this week. DPD has said deliveries of parcels to the affected postcodes will be delayed by between one and three days.
Over 14,000 Royal Mail workers staged a strike last week in a dispute over pay, jobs and working conditions. The walkout of members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) will continue this week with strikes planned for tomorrow and Thursday, December 15, reports the Mirror.
