Hassle-free holidaying anywhere other than the UK has been pretty much impossible these last two years as the Covid pandemic has held the world in its grip.
Covid tests, quarantine, vaccine passports and a surfeit of differing travel restrictions depending on which country you have been headed for, has understandably put many people off going abroad, both for business and pleasure. But with the worst of the coronavirus pandemic now hopefully behind us, the good news is that an increasing number of countries are now either easing restrictions - or scrapping Covid travel rules altogether.
Jamaica has been one of the most recent countries to scrap its restrictions with the ending of pre-travel Covid test rules.

With our own travel rules now a thing of the past once you return to the UK following the abolishing of passenger locator forms, it means there are now 14 destinations you can visit where you are all but free from any Covid admin, reports the Mirror.
Here is a full list of destinations without Covid travel rules and why they're worth having on your holiday bucket list. Check out our guide below.
Jamaica
Jamaica's Covid travel rules for Brits ended in mid-April. This was when it removed pre-travel Covid test rules, having recently axed quarantine requirements and ended the need for travellers to get pre-approval to visit.
There's lots to do in Jamaica if you fancy a trip to the Caribbean, from bamboo rafting to swimming in the spectacular Blue Lagoon and even retracing the footsteps of the world's most famous spy, James Bond, who is no stranger to this beautiful island.
Czech Republic
The Czech Republic has eased all Covid-19 travel restrictions. This means you can visit without needing to fill out a form, or show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test.
One of the most popular destinations is the country's capital, Prague, which offers up a host of exciting things to do on a city break, from visiting the impressive castle to the fascinating St Vitus Cathedral. The Charles Bridge is a must-visit for picturesque views. And leave space on the itinerary for the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Iceland
The Nordic island state scrapped all its Covid travel rules earlier this year and is now welcoming visitors no matter what their vaccination status.
That means no Covid tests or passenger locator forms, so it's the perfect excuse to explore Iceland's dramatic landscape, from its glacier, geysers and waterfalls, to iconic spots like the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, and the country's capital, Reykjavik.
Mexico
There are no Covid entry requirements for Brits heading to Mexico, but you will need to complete an immigration form, which is needed to enter and leave the holiday hotspot.
As for having some bucket list-worthy experiences there are lots of incredible places to visit in Mexico, from its colonial cities to it ancient Aztec and Mayan ruins - many of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. If you're after all inclusive resorts, beautiful beaches, bars and good food, Cancun and Tulum tend to be a hit.
Denmark
Denmark no longer has any Covid restrictions for Brits - and this also applies for those heading to the Faroe Islands.
Whether you're looking to wander along Copenhagen's colourful Nyhavn harbour, discover the Tivoli Gardens, go in search of the Little Mermaid herself or even pay a visit to the original Legoland at Billund, there are plenty of great things to see and do in the Scandinavian country for all the family.
It's worth noting that although Greenland falls under Denmark when it comes to the Foreign Office's travel advice, the island has its own Covid rules in place, and currently you can only visit if you're fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid.
Norway
According to the UK Foreign Office: "Entry requirements for Norway are the same for all travellers, regardless of whether you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past year."
Intrepid explorers won't be stuck for things to see and do from Norway's mountains to its glaciers and awe-inspiring coastal fjords and, of course, not forgetting the Northern Lights and the country's capital, Oslo.
Madeira
The Portuguese island was one of the first to ease its travel rules for Brits last year, and it quickly became a firm favourite with holidaymakers.
Funchal tends to be the popular holiday hotspot with its wide array of attractions, hotels and restaurants, whether you're wandering through the historic Old Town or taking in the views at the Botanical Gardens.
You will need to fill out a pre-travel passenger form, but we've still included it in our round-up as there are no tests or vaccine requirements involved.
Montenegro
You do not need proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test to visit Montenegro.
The Balkan country has everything you could want for an adventure-filled break; breathtaking hikes through rugged mountainous landscapes, historic villages with stunning old towns and medieval buildings, delicious food, crystal-clear lakes, and sandy beaches with all the facilities you need for a stress-free day basking in the sunshine.
Hungary
Hungary lifted all of its Covid travel rules in March this year, meaning you won't need a negative test to enter the country, nor will you need to be fully vaccinated.
A city break to the capital Budapest is top of many Brits holiday list, thanks to the plethora of brilliant bars, restaurants and hotels, not to mention the likes of the thermal baths, historic buildings and beautiful surrounding scenery to explore.
Want to get some of the highlights as part of a wider trip? A river cruise along the Danube could help tick all the boxes!
Ireland
As of early March, you do not need to show any proof of vaccination, Covid recovery, or a negative Covid test to enter Ireland. The country has also scrapped its passenger locator forms.
You'll be spoiled when it comes to Instagram-worthy scenery from Killarney National Park to the Ring of Kerry, the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher and the Dingle Peninsula, while Dublin makes for a fantastic city break, especially if you're after a vibrant nightlife.
Costa Rica
Costa Rica has scrapped all its previous travel insurance requirements related to Covid.
The UK Foreign Office does caveat that "the authorities in Costa Rica may restrict travel or bring in new rules at short notice, for example due to a new Covid-19 variant".
If you're after a holiday to remember, Costa Rica won't disappoint from its beautiful national parks to its rainforests, golden beaches and bustling towns.
Sweden
As of April 1, people travelling to Sweden from the UK are no longer required to present a negative Covid-19 test or proof of vaccination to visit.
Sweden has lots of fascinating spots to visit from dazzling royal palaces to sprawling national parks - and even an entire museum dedicated to perhaps the Scandinavian country's most famous export after Volvo - the hit band ABBA!
The Maldives
The archipelagic country has scrapped all vaccine and Covid test rules for travellers, making for the perfect excuse to finally tick those amazing Maldives experiences off the bucket list (underwater restaurant, anyone?).
You will need to fill out a pre-travel passenger form, but we've still included the islands as there are no tests or vaccine requirements involved if you want to go on holiday.
Lithuania
Brits no longer need to show vaccination proof, Covid recovery or negative tests to enter the Baltic nation.
Last year, the country's capital Vilnius launched a tongue-in-cheek campaign after its tourism authorities found that people often guessed the likes of Italy, Austria, Sweden and even South America as its location.
It is worth noting that in late February, Lithuania announced a State of Emergency, in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The UK Foreign Office warns: "Rules relating to the State of Emergency may change at short notice."
Poland
Poland has lifted all its quarantine, vaccination proof and pre-departure Covid tests.
The country borders Ukraine, but remains open for tourism.
Back in March Dorota Wojciechowska, Director of the Polish Tourism Organisation, said: "I would like to assure travel agents and individuals that the country remains safe. The Polish government is doing everything it can to provide security for both the nation and the tourists. We are hoping that the ongoing horrible situation in Ukraine will not discourage British tourists from visiting Poland this year."
Romania
Romania lifted all of its travel rules for foreign visitors in March.
The country borders Ukraine, but the UK Foreign Office states in its travel advice: "There is widespread military activity in Ukraine. Although Romania shares a land and sea border with Ukraine the situation there remains normal. The FCDO advises against all travel to Ukraine. You should not attempt to cross into Ukraine from Romania."
- Travel restrictions are correct at the time of writing but can change quickly due to the nature of the pandemic. Always check the latest Foreign Office advice for a destination before booking or going on a trip.
