Today, Friday 21 April, marks the day that Ulster Bank closes the doors of its remaining 63 branches in the Republic of Ireland, while ATM services will also end as the bank completes its exit from the Irish market.
Most Ulster Bank customers have already sought a move to an alternative banking provider but for those who have yet to switch, Ulster Bank will continue to offer a number of customer supports through telephone and online channels. The bank will pay particular attention to vulnerable customers, who may need additional help with closing accounts and moving to another bank.
In recent months, Ulster Bank has gradually pulled out of the Irish market, closing branches and continuing to warn customers of the need to close accounts.
