Despite a three-week break, Leeds United's current injury situation is actually worse now than when the season came to a halt. The Whites were without eight players (excluding the three at the World Cup) in Thursday's 2-1 win at Elche, and lost another two during the 90 minutes.
Thankfully for Leeds, there is still just under three weeks until their return to Premier League action, meaning time is on their side in terms of getting bodies back. So, with that in mind, here is a look at Leeds' current full injury list, including quotes from Jesse Marsch, and their potential return dates.
Crysencio Summerville - foot
Summerville went off in Thursday's friendly inside the opening 10 minutes after picking up a knock to his foot in a tackle. Marsch is hopeful it's not too bad, but last night will've been too early to tell.

What Marsch said (Dec 8): "Hopefully, Cree’s not too bad."
Potential return date: Unknown
Sonny Perkins - calf
Perkins was among a host of players to come on with half an hour to play, but struggled with a calf problem throughout his time on the pitch. He tried to carry on for several minutes but eventually had to come off.
What Marsch said (Dec 8): "Sonny Perkins, maybe a little bit of a calf issue, but hopefully it's not so bad.”
Potential return date: Unknown
Diego Llorente - hand
Llorente underwent surgery on a fractured hand he sustained in Sunday's session. The procedure was only minor and Marsch confirmed that the Spaniard will be returning to training within two weeks.
What Marsch said (Dec 8): "Diego's hand: he had successful surgery and they say two weeks after the surgery he can start participating in training so that shouldn't last too long."
Potential return date: 28/12/22
Robin Koch - calf/Achilles
Koch walked out of training early on Tuesday after feeling some pain in his calf/Achilles area. He was not involved in the friendly win over Elche yesterday but looks set to make his return to full training next week.
What Marsch said (Dec 8): "Robin will be ready to train in the week."
Potential return date: 16/12/22
Patrick Bamford - groin
Bamford missed the last two matches before the World Cup break with a hip injury but it was a separate issue that meant he did not travel to Spain. He underwent surgery on a minor groin injury in Munich, and will be fit within two weeks.
What Marsch said (Dec 8): "Patrick Bamford had a successful surgery. We think he'll be ready in about 10 days.
Potential return date: 21/12/22
Junior Firpo - groin
Like Bamford, Firpo also did not travel with the group to Spain straight away. He did, however, make the trip on Tuesday but is yet to join in with a full training session.
What Marsch said (Dec 8): "Junior Firpo wasn't as bad as we initially thought, so he actually travelled here and he will be close to training next week.
Potential return date: 16/12/22
Illan Meslier - ill
Meslier did not make the trip to Spain with the rest of the squad due to illness. Marsch revealed after the match it will be close if he is fit for City as the Frenchman is suffering with glandular fever.
What Marsch said (Dec 8): " Illan : you guys call it glandular fever, we call it mono. We're trying to be safe with him, but also measure him appropriately and see. It'll be close when we can get him back into training days to a week before Man City.
Potential return date: Unknown
Kristoffer Klaesson- ill
Klaesson also did not travel to Spain due to a viral infection though Marsch did not provide an update on his condition after the game.
What the club have said (Dec 4): " Illan Meslier and Kristoffer Klaesson haven’t travelled to Spain either, with both of them currently out of action due to having viral illnesses."
Potential return date: Unknown
Luis Sinisterra - foot
Sinisterra missed the last three games before the break due to a foot injury, though no update was ever provided on the severity. He was pictured on social media in a protective boot but travelled to Spain to do rehabilitation work.
What was said before the break (Nov 3): "We believe it's (Lisfranc) partially torn, which puts him in a bit of a grey area, but he's probably out until after the World Cup break."
Potential return date: Unknown
Stuart Dallas - leg
Like Sinisterra, Dallas is also with the squad completing rehab work as he continues his recovery from a fractured femur. All eyes will be on a return to action after the turn of the new year.
What was said before the break (Nov 11): "Stuart's making great progress as well, and we'll see how that goes, but maybe we get him on the pitch at some point towards the end of December, early January."
Potential return date: Unknown
Suspensions
Tyler Adams
The USA skipper's red card at Tottenham in Leeds' final match before the break means he faces a one-match ban and will therefore miss the visit of Manchester City.
