Hamilton Accies boss John Rankin says new signing Jean-Pierre Tiehi has looked like being everything they thought he would be, when taking him on loan from Fulham.
Accies snapped up the 20-year-old Frenchman last Saturday, in time for him to make his debut from the bench in the 1-1 Championship draw at Partick Thistle.
Rankin says the Paris-born striker was given a chance to look at the club before deciding to join, and is happy to have him on board.
Ahead of today's clash against Ayr United at Somerset Park, Rankin said:- "I've been pleased with his progress this week. He's settling in really well, and is everything that we thought he was going to be.
"He's different to what we have, so I'm really looking forward to working with him and seeing his progress.
"I know for a fact that he can help us."
On the whirlwind move, Rankin said: "Jean-Pierre only trained on Friday. It’s important that if we take young players in on loan we make sure they’re comfortable in our environment.
“We gave Jean-Pierre the chance to come up and look around before he made the decision to commit.
"He was happy with what he saw and how it was, so we were quite quick in getting that over the line on Friday, and it only got cleared on Saturday."
