Fulham owner Tony Khan has confirmed that Fabio Carvalho will leave at the end of the season.
Carvalho is set to be confirmed as a Liverpool player after the Reds struck an agreement with the Championship side last month.
The ECHO understands Liverpool’s agreement with Fulham to sign Carvalho is for a fee that could rise past the £7m mark after they failed to seal a deal at the end of the January transfer window.
The Reds were wary of going down a tribunal route with the Cottagers having experienced a similar situation with the 2019 pursuit of Harvey Elliott and have reached an agreement with the newly-crowned Championship winners that has seen official confirmation held off until Marco Silva’s bid for promotion had been successfully concluded.

Carvalho scored in Fulham’s 7-0 hammering of Luton on Monday evening and Khan has admitted that the Portugal Under-21 international will leave at the end of the campaign.
“I really like Fabio, Khan told the Athletic. “He’s a player we have always rated, coming out of the academy and we would have loved to have kept him.
“But we have made a deal that is best for the club and since that agreement, it’s worked out wonderfully because he has been such a valuable part of promotion.
“Marco has done a great job with him. They have a great relationship and Fabio has been tremendous for us. He’s a huge part of the squad and it’s a massive loss but, because we have done good business, we can do good business to make sure we are strong in that position.”
Carvalho completed a medical in London on transfer deadline day in January but Liverpool were unable to complete the deal before the 11pm cut-off point. However, the Reds remained confident over negotiations and are expected to formally announce the attacking midfielder soon.
