Fulham 'preparing' £32m double swoop on Liverpool

Newly-promoted Fulham are looking to make a double swoop for Liverpool duo Takumi Minamino and Neco Williams this summer, according to a new report.

Both players could be on their way out of Anfield with the Reds hopeful of signing Darwin Nunez and Calvin Ramsey.

Attacker Minamino has been the subject of interest from a number of other clubs, including Leeds United, with the player having worked under current Elland Road manager Jesse Marsch at his former club Red Bull Salzburg.

Earlier this week, we reported Liverpool will ask for around £17million for the Japanese international, whose agent, Yusuke Akiyama, has travelled from Japan to discuss a probable transfer

Minamino scored 10 goals in 24 appearances this season although his appearance when scoring at Southampton in the penultimate Premier League game of the campaign was his first top-flight start for the Reds since December 2020. In total, he has made 55 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 14 times.

Williams, meanwhile, spent half the season on loan at Fulham, playing in 14 games and scoring two goals from right-back, and helping the Cottagers to win the Championship.

And the report from 90min.com suggests Fulham will make approaches for both players and that they are hopeful of agreeing a deal, particularly given their good relations with the Reds.

Liverpool, who have signed both Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho from the Cottagers, are looking for £15m for Williams, who has made 13 league appearances for the club since his debut in 2019.
