Fulham have not given up in their attempts to tie Fabio Carvalho down to a new contract amid interest from Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp's side are just one of a number of Premier League teams keen on the 19-year-old sensation, with Southampton having long-held interest and West Ham also linked.
Carvalho has eight goals and two assists in 17 Championship appearances this season and is a firm favourite of manager Marco Silva.
However, the attacking midfielder rejected a new contract offer in November and will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Fulham face a fight to agree an extension, a battle made more difficult by the fact that Carvalho, who was born in Portugal but has represented England at youth level, has recently split from his previous representative and enlisted the help of super-agent Jorge Mendes.
Silva is desperate to see Carvalho stay at Craven Cottage as the west Londoners push for a return to the Premier League, but a move to an established top-flight side - or one pushing for the title - may be too hard to turn down.
