Large bins dumped on a busy residential road have now attracted rats and bugs, according to frustrated neighbours living next to them. Residents on Mansfield Street in Sherwood have spoken out over the four large bins that mysteriously appear on their road "every week".
The annoyed neighbours have labelled them a "nuisance" - and said the huge wheelie bins take up valuable parking space. It comes as four of the commercial containers were left on their street for four days over Easter, those living nearby have said.
Richard Marsh, a civil engineer living on Mansfield Street, said: "It takes parking for residents. It is frustrating."

The 40-year-old agreed the bins attract rats and and bugs, adding: "This road is horrendous anyway. You get a lot of incidents with parking.
"I personally reported the bins issue before. Rather than keeping them off the street, they just leave them here.
"And they left them over the Easter break. They are a nuisance. There is no consideration for the residents."
Rony Johnson and Soniya Matthew, a married couple living on the same road, said the bins appear at the same location every week. Mrs Matthew, 31, added: "It is a nuisance when it comes to parking. Usually they keep them here for one day."
Mr Johnson, 28, commented: "But the last time they were here for three or four days. Usually when I wake up in the morning I see them when I go to work."
Another resident, who lives right opposite to where the bins are usually located, added: "They are attracting rats and bugs. It is an inconvenience."
Sheridan, a self-employed neighbour in the area, said: "It is really hard to park in the street. Plus there's the smell and the bugs because of the bins.
The 33-year-old added: "It does not look good at all for the community. It's not all the time they do this, but whenever it's left here for a long time, we struggle with the parking and the smell."
David Hurst, aged 26, added: "I have never really noticed the bins there before today. The parking has been an issue in this area.
"I could see commercial waste in the bin. I would assume you cannot just put your commercial waste bins in the street. It would be more ideal if they weren't there."
David Hails, a retired teacher who lives next to the bins, 69, added: "These bins have always been here. They are from here and they have come out and gone back in for years."
A cyclist in the area, who wished to remain anonymous, added: "I am a cyclist, so the lack of parking space is no trouble to me. But going around the bins is not ideal for me, I wish they remove it soon."
Another resident in the area added: "I live further down the road, so it doesn't really affect me. But I imagine for people living here it is quite annoying."
The bins were no longer on Mansfield Street on Wednesday, April 12, after Nottinghamshire Live has approached waste management company Veolia to comment on the issue. A Veolia spokesperson said "We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to residents. We can confirm the collection took place this morning and are working with our customer to find alternative locations for the containers."
