Ferne McCann has said she feels 'frustrated' she can't be 'fully transparent' about the voice note scandal.
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Ferne was accused of making comments about Sam and Billie Faiers and her ex Arthur Collins' acid attack victim Sophie Hall in 'leaked' voice notes last year.
The 32-year-old remained mostly silent as an anonymous Instagram account released the alleged voice notes of Ferne and Ferne felt compelled to contact the police.
But after she was accused of making 'disgusting' comments about her jailed ex Arthur Collins' acid attack victim Sophie Hall, she spoke out.
Towards the end of last year, Ferne said she had said "things that are untrue" but said her words came out of fear and claimed how the voicenotes had been "manipulated".
Now, Ferne has admitted she feels "frustrated" but can't wait to "share my full truth" when she is able to.
Speaking to OK! magazine Ferne, who also confirmed she is pregnant with her second child, said: "It will be addressed on the show, but there’s not a lot I can say, which is so frustrating.
"I am definitely someone who has always worn their heart on their sleeve and been transparent with anyone I meet, especially my followers and the people who watch my show."
Ferne added: "The frustration comes from just not being able to be fully transparent and I cannot wait to share my full truth and the full story, but unfortunately, I can’t because there is the criminal investigation and for that reason I can’t go into detail.
“What I will say is we just want to look forward as a family, working as a team and remaining positive because that’s all you can be."
Ferne contacted police in October to investigate the person behind the anonymous Instagram account leaking the alleged voice notes.
An Essex Police spokesperson told the Mirror at the time: "We are investigating a report of malicious communication which was made to us in Brentwood on Thursday 29 September.
"We have spoken to the victim, a woman aged in her 30s, and our enquiries are ongoing."
A string of voice notes allege Ferne made a series of comments about her former best pals Sam and Billie Faiers, reportedly calling Sam a "fat c***" and "narcissistic b***h".
In another reportedly leaked voice note, Ferne is accused of hitting out at Billie for giving her son the same name as her jailed ex Arthur.
Weeks later the anonymous account leaked another voice note, where Ferne was alleged to have made comments about her ex Arthur's acid attack victim Sophie Hall.
The post claimed the voice was Ferne calling Sophie a 'ugly f***ing c***' for wearing a dress made out of headlines about the attack to a beauty pageant.
Ferne later released a statement, where she said: "I am aware that people will have a number of questions about the voice messages being put into the public domain and purportedly sent by me.
"I feel I have no choice but to address these (to the extent that I can as there are restrictions on me which I explain below).
"Most importantly I want to apologise to all the victims of Arthur Collins's abhorrent actions in 2017 that they have to relive that night and the pain that followed because this matter is again in the public domain.
"In particular, I want to apologise to Sophie Hall. I do not believe her to be ugly or stupid. She has been brave beyond belief."
Ferne continued: "Arthur Collins' crimes created genuine victims so I am not trying to portray myself as one.
"I am unable to say much because there are important and significant legal proceedings that prevent me from setting the record straight at this stage.
"What I can say is that the voice messages that are being released are manipulated; edited and taken entirely out of context.
"Even so, I will have said things that are untrue and I did not believe – but I did so to protect my family and myself from serious harm and in the face of significant threats."
The statement was later blasted as 'insincere' by Sophie, who said: "Ferne has blocked me on Instagram, so I couldn’t even read her ‘apology’. I wonder how many other acid attack victims she has blocked?
"To me her words feel so insincere. Ferne is simply trying to salvage her career. I don’t think she is sorry at all," she told The Sun.
