Gray states: 'Just like inside your home, consider who will use the space, how it'll be used and how often as this will help to determine how much seating you'll need and how flexible the seating options will need to be. Be sure to take accurate measurements so you know how much space is available, after all, you want to make sure your furniture fits comfortable and doesn't look to big or small in the space. Once you've got the practicalities covered, it's then about choosing high-quality pieces that suit your needs and the look you're going for.'
She continues, 'From a style perspective, you also need to decide whether you want your outdoor living space to stand out from your home or complement it. For instance, if you live in a really modern decorated home, then opting for furniture with clean, minimalist lines might be a better option, whilst a traditional home may suit pieces that are shapelier and have a vintage or antique feel. We're seeing customers move away from the grey upholstery fabrics that have been popular for so long, and instead opting for warmer neutrals, soft greens and terracotta shades. These help to bring a warmer, relaxed and more inviting feel that can be brought to life with textiles and accessories.'
