A $164 million federal jury verdict involving a College Park, Georgia, hotel has brought renewed attention to a fundamental question for hospitality leadership: How does anti-trafficking training become meaningful action? The verdict, which followed a $40 million verdict in a separate Georgia hotel case last year, involved a survivor who was 15 when the trafficking occurred at the property in 2020 and 2021. The jury awarded $44 million in compensatory damages and $120 million in punitive damages.
