A week after an avalanche killed 10 mountaineers on Broad Peak in Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan region, rescuers have recovered the bodies of seven victims.

The Alpine Club of Pakistan – a non-governmental organisation for mountaineering and mountain sports – said on Wednesday that the recovery operation was “exceptionally challenging and technically demanding”.
