If you’ve been feeling bereft since Netflix ditched classic sitcom Friends at the end of last year, there’s good news. Streaming platform HBO Max has announced it will launch in the UK this month, complete with bingeable series such as Euphoria, House of the Dragon and – most importantly for die-hard fans – Friends.
The show may have stopped filming more than 20 years ago but it has remained a firm favourite ever since. Its removal from Netflix came as the streaming platform’s licensing deal for the series expired, with rights reverting to Warner Bros as part of the ongoing reshuffle of major titles between rival streaming platforms.
