Airline cancellations and delays cost two friends the chance to go to a graduation party after they were left stranded in Majorca. Their easyJet flight back to the UK was cancelled and further delays affected their rebooked flight.
Paige Smith and housemate Zack flew to Palma, in Majorca, at 5.30am on Monday, March 28 from Manchester Airport for a break in the sun. And despite their fears about long delays, they managed to fly out with no problems and went through security with no fuss despite the airport being busy, reports Manchester Evening News.
But it was when they were due to return back to the UK a few days later that things started to go wrong. Due to fly on Friday morning (April 1), Paige awoke and packed her bags, only to be met with an email from easyJet advising her that the flight was cancelled.
