Matthew Perry's upcoming memoir hits the shelves later in the year and it's said the star "won't sugarcoat the tougher times that he went through" with his Friends co-stars.
The actor, 52, is releasing a 256-page tell-all book titled Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing and was paid a "mid-seven-figure" sum to do so according to Deadline.
A source told US Weekly : "He'll delve into his addictions, of course, plus clear up rumours about his feelings for the Friends co-stars.
"It wasn't always a bed of roses for Matthew on and off the Friends set. He'll also discuss what it was like at the reunion, both good and bad."
They continued: "It's not going to be salacious or mean, just totally honest.
"But given the nature of Matt's life and his experiences, that guarantees this will be an incredibly juicy read!"
During the eagerly anticipated Friends reunion which aired last year, the Chandler Bing actor confessed he didn't keep in touch with fellow cast members since the show, including Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow.
The portrayed the iconic group of friends for 10 seasons between 1994 and 2004.
During the later years, Matthew was in rehab twice and has since described how he couldn't remember all of his years on the show.
Speaking on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show in 2016, he admitted he couldn't remember "somewhere between season three and six" as he battled addictions to Vicodin, methadone, amphetamines, and alcohol.
Earlier this month Courteney, famed for her role as Monica who married Matthew's character on the show, said he had "struggled for a while".
During an interview with The Sunday Times, the 57-year-old actress opened up about the much-loved TV series which turned her into a household name.
She also discussed Matthew's comments in which he said he he had desperately fed off the live audience's reaction during the filming of Friends.
During the reunion, he said: "For me, I felt like I was going to die if they didn't laugh."
And Courteney admitted: "That was a lot of pressure he put on himself. That's a lot to think how much he relied on that for his own self-worth.
The mother-of-one continued: "He's just struggled for a while. I think he's doing great now."
