Friends and family of musician Liam Payne have gathered in England to farewell the star in a private service.
The funeral comes just over a month since the tragic loss of the 31-year-old during a visit to Buenos Aires.
The church service took place in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, north-west of London, with former One Direction bandmates, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, along with Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, all in attendance.
Details of the service were kept private to avoid any gathering from fans. A a white, horse-drawn carriage carried Liam through town to the proceeding, with white floral arrangements, two of which read ‘Son’ and ‘Daddy’ were laid at the service.

Also among mourners were Liam’s parents, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole, with whom the singer shares a son, Bear. Girls Aloud members, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh were in attendance as well as Liam’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy and late nigth TV host James Corden.
One Direction stars Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson also came together to mourn the loss of their bandmate.
The News Of Liam Payne’s Passing
The shocking news of Liam’s death came on October 17th (AEST) when reports emerged that the singer had fallen from the third story of his Buenos Aires hotel.
At the time, local newspapers Clarin and La Nacion reported that authorities were called to the hotel in response to an emergency. Soon after, the worst was confirmed, as Head of the Buenos Aires’ public emergency medical services, Alberto Crescenti, revealed that the injuries Payne sustained from the fall were “incompatible with life.”
Adding: “At 17:04, through 911, the integrated public security system, we were alerted about a person who was in an internal courtyard of the Casa Sur hotel. At 17:11, a team arrived and confirmed the man’s death.”
“We later learned that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he had injuries incompatible with life as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death. There was no possibility of resuscitation.”
Shortly after the devastating news, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles issued a joint statement, sharing their heartbreak over the loss.
“We are completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing,” a statement posted on the band’s Instagram account read.
“In this time, when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly,” they wrote. “The memories we shared with him will be treasure forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.”
