After a frosty start, Leeds will see dry weather on Friday morning punctuated by dry spells.
Leeds will be milder than other parts of West Yorkshire and much cloudier with some rain and drizzle in places, mainly over the hills. A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Cloudy and windy with further periods of rain, especially over western hills during the morning. Parts of the sheltered east staying dry and perhaps bright at times. Maximum temperature 10 °C."
Most of the talk however is about the Sudden Stratospheric Warming which has triggered talk of the second coming of the Beast from the East and Deep Freeze two. The Met Office confirmed something has already happened in the atmosphere and there is a chance the UK will see its impact.

The Pola Vortex is a thing again too.. Yes, you read right. That. The Met Office said: "Following a minor S udden Stratospheric Warming (SSW) event in January, the Stratospheric Polar Vortex (SPV) has now recovered. The recent minor SSW weakened the SPV and it’s now likely to collapse and reverse in the middle of February.
"A major SSW often makes the jet stream meander more, which can lead to a large area of blocking high pressure over northern Europe, including the UK. This blocking high pressure can lead to cold, dry weather in the north of Europe, including the UK."
Prof Adam Scaife, Head of Long-Range Forecasting at the Met Office, said: “There is now over 80% chance of a major SSW occurring. Although the impact will become clearer nearer the time, any effect on UK weather is most likely to occur in late February and March.”
As for tomorrow, you don't have to worry about Deep Freeze 2. You will however expect some very strong wind gusts through the day. Temperatures will hover around the 10C mark but it will feel like 7C at most because of the wind.
Some dark clouds will hang around between 10am and 11am. Visiblity will be great through the day.
