Leeds is set for a much dryer day on Friday with the sunny intervals expected.
The first week of the new year has seen temperatures stay mild with rain in some parts - a huge improvement to the treacherous icy condition the country saw in December.
Friday weather is expected to be much dryer for Leeds and most of the region, with cloud and sunny intervals expected in most parts for Leeds.

The Met Office says: "Dry and largely sunny during the morning. Cloudier by the afternoon, with the odd shower, but most places dry. Windy at first, but easing for many parts during the day. Maximum temperature 9 °C."

Leeds will start Friday with sunny intervals, the cloud will disappear in the mid morning at 10am, before returning at 11am with more sunny intervals expected until midday. The day will turn cloudy at 1pm and will stay cloudy for the remainder of the day until 7pm - the sun will make a slight appearance at 3pm.
Light rain is predicted from 8pm until 9pm, says the Met Office. It will stay cloudy throughout the rest of the night until early Saturday morning.

Unsettled and often windy with showers or longer spells of rain for many, though some drier, brighter interludes are expected at times.
