Finishing third at the 2002 Le Mans 24 Hours, his first start in an R8, resulted in Werner being brought into the Audi fold full-time the following year and led to a glittering career at the pinnacle of sportscar racing that yielded three Le Mans victories. It’s little surprise therefore that Werner picks a car that was only defeated once in six attempts at Le Mans as his favourite car.
