Fresh Salt Bae footage shows controversial chef teasing Argentina star's child

A clip which shows celebrity chef Salt Bae teasing Cristian Romero's child with the World Cup trophy following Argentina's triumph over France at the weekend has gone viral on social media.

Lionel Scaloni's side became world champions for the first time since 1986 by dethroning France on penalties after the initial match ended level at 3-3 after extra-time.

Both Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, who bagged a brace and a hat-trick respectively, ensured that the blockbuster final lived up to its billing. Various people have even gone on to claim that the showpiece final at Lusail Stadium was the best World Cup final in recent memory.

But some fans were less than impressed with the scenes that followed: namely, the sight of Salt Bae mingling with Argentinian players as they celebrated on the pitch after the match.

Salt Bae, whose actual name is Nusret Gokce, was amongst the VVIP guests who were at the final courtesy of FIFA. But Salt Bae was pictured on the pitch alongside several of Scaloni's squad, who were celebrating with their families and coaches, after the match.

A clip of an unimpressed Messi walking away from the Turkish chef has already gone viral, but a new clip, which sees Salt Bae standing alongside Romero and the Tottenham defender's young child, has now sparked fresh outrage.

In the clip, Salt Bae can be seen holding the coveted World Cup trophy while chatting with Romero and Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez. Romero's child can be seen getting upset while reaching out for the trophy. Salt Bae, noticing this, then appears to tease the youngster by pulling it away. As Romero walks off, Salt Bae then does his signature salt sprinkle next to a bemused looking Martinez.

Join the debate! Do you think that Salt Bae should have been allowed on the pitch after the World Cup final? Let us know here.

A whole host of photos and clips, which consist of a number of different Argentina stars, have already been shared online with Salt Bae's 49.8 million Instagram followers.

The images of Salt Bae holding the World Cup trophy has caused an almighty stir on social media: FIFA claims the trophy "can only be touched and held by a very select group of people, which includes former winners of the FIFA World Cup and heads of state".

Renowned pop star Rihanna famously whipped up a similar storm when she was snapped getting her hands on the World Cup trophy after Germany's win back in 2014.

She even bragged about it after the event on social media, where she tweeted: "I touched the cup, held the cup, kissed the cup, took a selfie wit the cup!!! I meeeaan...... what is YO bucket list looking like bruh?"
