Fresh issue emerges over Premier League's return as Leeds United await Man United green light

Fresh doubts have emerged over the return of Premier League football next weekend due to a shortage of TV trucks. That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that due to Sky News' unprecedented coverage given to Her Majesty the Queen's funeral, sister channel Sky Sports are running out of the outside broadcast trucks needed to screen live football.

Sky are set to show eight matches across football next weekend, including four in the Premier League, two in the Championship, one in the Scottish Premiership and one in the Women's Super League. This is yet another added complication that is set to be taken into account ahead of a decision on the potential of football returning, with policing resources said to be the main one.

The Mail claim that up to 10,000 police officers could be deployed in London to manage 'an unprecedented security operation' ahead of the funeral. Leeds United are scheduled to make the trip to Manchester United on Sunday, which is a game that always requires a heavy police presence.
