A fresh image of a missing Ayrshire man has been released as the frantic search to find him continues.
Andrew Linton vanished from the Corsehill area of Kilwinning in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police say that the 43-year-old's disappearance, at 5.35am, is out of character and that they're growing concerned for his welfare.
Andrew is described as white, around 5 ft 6 in height, of stocky build and speaks with a local Ayrshire accent.
He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, a light-coloured beanie hat, black trousers and black boots. It’s thought he may also have on a grey hooded jumper and carrying a large red rucksack with black lace crisscrossed on the front.
Inspector Alex Beagrie, Irvine Police Station, said: “Andrew has been missing now for two days, and for him to leave his home and family without letting them know where he is or getting in touch is not like him at all and is concerning.
“Officers have been checking CCTV from the local area and in the town centre but so far there have been no further sightings of him.
“Local bus and taxi companies have been alerted, as have our colleagues at British Transport Police. We also have officers, including specialist search teams, searching for him.
“If you have seen Andrew, or have any information about where he is, then please get in touch with police as soon as you can.”
Information can be passed to Police Scotland via 101, quoting reference number 0514 of Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
