Fresh appeal for information in probe into suspected murder of County Durham man 20 years on

A fresh appeal for information has been made as part of the probe into suspected murder of a former miner who disappeared 20 years ago in County Durham.

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Edward Donnelly say they believe he was murdered after he vanished without trace from his home in Sacriston in 2002.

An investigation was launched by Durham Constabulary but no-one was ever convicted in connection with his death and his body has not been recovered.
