Police Scotland have launched a renewed appeal for information after a teen was found seriously injured on the A75.
Officers say the 17-year-old male was found between Castle Douglas Road and Glasgow Road around 3.30am on Saturday, 12 November. He was rushed to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Authorities are keen to speak to a group of young people who were seen on the overbridge of Hardthorn Road between 2.45am and 3.30am on Saturday. They are asking anyone who can assist with their enquiries to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Kelly Douglas said: “We are continuing to work to establish the full circumstances of this incident and how the man was injured and came to be on the A75. We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and in particular the group of young people we know were in the area as they may have information which could prove useful.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone else with any information or perhaps dashcam footage which has not yet been passed to police. Anyone with information can call police on 101, quoting incident number 0596 of 12 November, 2022.”
