A French police officer suspected of adhering to violent far-right ideology has been arrested and placed in pre-trial detention over an alleged plot to carry out terrorist attacks, according to judicial sources.
The 35-year-old officer, who was serving in the Yvelines department west of Paris, was arrested by anti-terrorism investigators on 23 August as he left work.
