French Open: Rafael Nadal says every match he plays at Roland Garros could be his last

Rafael Nadal says he is playing with the possibility that each match could be his last at Roland Garros as he prepares to take on Novak Djokovic in Tuesday’s showpiece quarter-final.

The Spaniard was taken to five sets for only the third time in his French Open career before eventually overcoming Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime to reach the last-eight yesterday, while Djokovic enjoyed a comprehensive straight sets win over Argentinian Diego Schwartzman to set up the blockbuster clash.
