French Montana was shocked after realising he actually met the Tinder Swindler years ago.
Shimon Hayut aka Simon Leviev conned tens of thousands of dollars from Cecilie Fjellhøy, Ayleen Koeleman, and Pernilla Sjoholm.
The Israeli conman called himself the 'Prince of Diamonds' when he introduced himself to women on dating app Tinder and soon swept them up into his lavish lifestyle.
Netflix shared the women's stories with the world in the astonishing new documentary.
Rapper French Montana was in for a shock after recognising Shimon as someone he met years before.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, French - real name Karim Kharbouch - shared a throwback selfie with the swindler on what looked like to be a plane.
"I can’t believe I met the swindler," he wrote.
In another snap, he used the same photo as he poked fun at the situation.
Along with many laughing emojis, the caption read: "Hey we just left the hospital. French Montana is fine again, we are fine again, but our enemies are after us. Please send $50k fast. Please."
The convicted conman lived a lavish lifestyle and travelled the world with the funds he's acquired. He claimed that he could not use his own money as his enemies would trace him back.
The documentary was released on February 2 and the victims of the conman even launched a GoFundMe.
Cecilie said she ended up receiving psychiatric care and claims he conned her out of £185,000 in just a matter of weeks.
The women are hoping to earn back some of their losses. Their page has a goal of £600,000 to fix their finances, with £34,000 raised so far on GoFundMe.
