The French foreign ministry has taken a strong stance against Russia following the deaths of two French nationals working for humanitarian organizations in Ukraine. The ministry summoned Russia's ambassador to France on Monday to express its grievances over the incident.
The tragic incident occurred during Russian strikes near the front line of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, specifically in the region north of the Dnipro River. Along with the two fatalities, three other French nationals were wounded in the attacks. The French aid workers were based in the town of Beryslav in the southern Kherson region when the strikes occurred.
