France is emerging as a hotbed for top basketball talent, with French nationals dominating the recent NBA Draft. The draft saw two French players selected as the top picks, and a total of four French players were chosen in the top 25 picks.

This year, the Atlanta Hawks made history by selecting Zaccharie Risacher as the top pick, following Victor Wembanyama's first overall selection by the San Antonio Spurs in the previous year. Risacher, a 6 feet 8 inches tall small forward, showcased his skills while playing for JL Bourg-en-Bresse in France's LNB Élite league.
