Up to 300,000 spectators are set to pack into the iconic Berkshire course, with it being the first since King Charles became monarch. The new King has given his blessing to the renaming of Saturday’s feature race to being Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes in honour of his late mother.

His Majesty is set to attend alongside the Queen Consort as one of the highlights of the British sporting and social calendar takes place over the course of five days.

The weather is set to be stunning, with an extended schedule of 36 races as horses from around the world arrive to compete at the richest festival in racing.

The prize fund for the week is set to rise to £9.25 million, with each Group 1 race during the event now set to be worth at least £600,000.

This applies to the Gold Cup, the King's Stand Stakes, the St James's Palace, the Coronation and the Commonwealth Cup. Ladies’ Day at Ascot on Thursday is traditionally one of the most popular days, with The Ascot Gold Cup being the feature race, with Eldar Eldarov the favourite for that one at 11/4 having won the Queen's Vase at 2022’s festival.

There is also representation from around the world, with the favourite for Saturday's Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee stakes being Australian sprinter Artiorious.

So don't miss your chance to soak in the excitement of Royal Ascot with your local paper and a FREE £2 shop bet with William Hill every day of the festival.
