It can be hard to keep the children entertained when they are off from school.
No matter what age, they always seem to be keen to make the most of their time off - regardless of what our Northern Irish weather throws at them.
If you are being more cautious of your money this year and are maybe not in the position to take them to expensive activities this Easter break, do not panic as fun memories do not always require breaking the bank.

We have rounded up some free things to check out with the kids in Belfast this Easter:
Ulster Museum
Why not combine education with their curiosity this Easter break?
Bursting with exhibitions bringing history, art and science to life, the Ulster Museum has long been beloved by adults and kids alike.
The museum has a constant rotation of science and cultural exhibitions, as well as an excellent exhibition marking 100 years since Northern Ireland came into existence.
The perfect place to start getting to grips with this place.
Explore Botanic Gardens
With the Spring weather finally making an appearance, enjoy the beauty of the Botanic Gardens in the heart of South Belfast.
This 28-acre park still has plenty of lovely flowers and plants to spot and brighten up your walk.
The Tropical Ravine contains some of the oldest seed plants around today, as well as banana, cinnamon, bromeliad and orchid plants and is fun for the kids to explore and learn.
The listed building dates back to 1887 and has been restored with many of its original Victorian features reinstated and preserved.
The Palm House contains a range of tropical plants, hanging baskets, seasonal displays and birds of paradise, and is one of the earliest examples of a glasshouse made from curved iron and glass.
Colin Glen Forest Park
Another completely free day out is a trip to Colin Glen Forest Park in West Belfast for a walk around the Gruffalo Trail.
The characters from the much-loved picture book, The Gruffalo, have been brought to life by sculptor Andrew McIntyre.
Meeting their favourite characters from the beloved book will completely amaze your kids, with the added bonus of getting them out in the fresh air too!
It takes approximately 20 minutes to get to the Gruffalo (depending on how many selfies with the characters you stop for!), and you can treat yourself to some refreshments at the visitor’s centre after to finish off the trip.
Belfast Easter Egg Hunt
Get ‘eggcited’ as the Belfast Easter Egg Hunt returns to Belfast City Centre and the team at Belfast One are inviting families to take part for free until 16 April.
10 Giant Eggs will be hidden around Belfast City Centre stores. Find them all, get all the right answers and you could be in with the chance of winning a fantastic family day out worth £300.
Simply find the clues, place the right answers and complete the hunt to be entered into a draw to win a Family Day out in Belfast city centre - the hour-long trail will take participants to a range of 10 city centre shops and stores.
Visit a play park
If the nicer weather continues, nothing gets the kids laughing and smiling like a trip to the play park.
Pack a picnic, get the trainers on and let their imagination run wild as they slide, swing and climb until their hearts are content.
Good wholesome fun and family memories do not need to cost anything this Easter and play parks can be a great alternative to expensive activity centres or soft-play areas.
There are countless numbers of parks across Belfast to visit to suit all of your children's needs.
Discover the Maritime Mile
Dive into Belfast’s seafaring history and take in the sights, sounds and smells of Belfast’s stunning waterfront.
Take part in the Maritime Milestones Treasure Trail and explore the most interesting parts of the area with the kids.
The free self-guided trail starts at City Quays, bringing you past the AC Hotel Belfast towards the Big Fish.
Cross over the Lagan Weir Footbridge and along the waterfront towards Titanic Belfast.
Make your way to each of the 20 stops, uncovering exciting questions and facts about the Maritime Mile.
