Free parking will continue at four park and ride and sites on the Tyne and Wear Metro as more and more people people return to the network.
As Covid guidance changes and work from home advice is lifted, the Metro is hoping to welcome back Metro customers.
Nexus, the public body which owns and manages Metro, has extended the free parking offer to the end of March which gives people more time to take advantage of the offer.
