Free Palestine badges could face restrictions in some English schools following a new UK Government review into antisemitism. The guidance has sparked debate over political expression, pupils' rights and how schools should address the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The report, led by former schools regulator Sir David Bell and published on 21 October 2026, makes 27 recommendations aimed at tackling antisemitism in schools and colleges. The Government has accepted all of them, including proposals to strengthen safeguarding measures, improve teacher training and clarify guidance on political impartiality.
