It might be only February but a local theatre is keen to grant a few early fairytale wishes with a free ticket offer for those who book now for this year's pantomime.
The Majestic Theatre in Darlington is launching its festive treat - which will be traditional favourite Cinderella - with a 'kids go free' offer. It applies to all children's tickets which are booked for the show before February 25 so interested families will need to be quick off the mark.
The theatre bosses have signed up with pantomime company Trio Entertainment for a second year to present its Christmas show which is billed as 'the greatest pantomime of them all' and is set to run from December 15-28. The show is due to star Majestic's panto favourites Hayley Warters and Stephen Longstaff as the Ugly Sisters.

Those booking tickets will find a number of performance times to choose from during Cinderella's run at the theatre in Bondgate in the town centre. Adult tickets cost £15. To book and take advantage of the offer see here.
Also getting an early start on the panto season is the Theatre Royal in Newcastle, which announced its 2023 pantomime last November, before the last one had even started, and its tickets for Pinocchio went on sale from November.
Meanwhile panto fans who can't bear the wait for the next festive season can join in some hissing and booing fun at Dick Whittington which has just extended its run at Beamish Museum in County Durham. The museum panto launched in January, with performances taking place in its 1950s Welfare Hall, and it has just announced an extension to its run until this Sunday, February 12: see here.
After the end of February, the Majestic Theatre is also due to introduce an early bird panto ticket offer, at £10 a ticket, to run until the end of May.
