A splashpad facility popular with families living in Long Eaton will reopen just in time for this weekend. Erewash Borough Council describes the facility as "a great family day out" and said there's free car parking.
The attraction in West Park, Long Eaton, will reopen for the summer season on Friday, May 13. The free facility will be open daily from 10am each morning over the coming months, and is usually particularly busy during the six-week school holidays in July and August, Derbyshire Live reports.
Families may also want to plan a visit for this coming weekend with a sunny day and temperatures of 20 degrees forecast for Saturday, May 14. The Met Office is predicting another warm day on Sunday, May 15, with slightly lower temperatures of 19 degrees expected in the Erewash town. Local authority Erewash Borough Council posted on its social media channels to confirm the reopening date.
A borough council spokesperson said: "The splashpad at West Park, Long Eaton is scheduled to open for the season on Friday, May 13, 2022. The facility is free to use and will be open daily from 10am. West Park is a Green Flag park with play areas, a café and a range of sports facilities. There’s free car parking and it’s a great family day out."
