Free clothes swap event in Nottingham aims to provide fun way to refresh wardrobes

To raise awareness about the perils of fast fashion, one woman has organised a “shwop”. Waitress Amy Pickles, 21, from Sherwood, also wants to show people the importance of second-hand shopping and how fun it can be. “An important part of why I’m doing this is because I don’t want second hand shopping to just be for people who either have a lot of money or time," said Amy, who studied Fashion Branding and Communications in Birmingham. "Second hand shopping can be expensive or hard if you’re plus size or slimmer, I want to make it accessible to everyone.”
