A Freddie Mercury tribute act is set to treat fans of the lyrical genius to a bottomless brunch this weekend.
The Blundell Street will be taken over by Joe Tilly, who performs The Forever Freddie tribute show, this Saturday afternoon. He will be singing hits from both of Freddie’s solo career and his time spent as the lead vocalist of Queen as guests enjoy 90 minutes of unlimited drinks and a two course meal.
While being serenaded to the likes of Radio Gaga, audience members can choose to have the brunch or veggie platter, chicken breast, spinach and goats cheese tart or mushroom penne pasta as their main meal. Whereas desserts range from an Eton mess or a chocolate mousse to ice cream or biscotti cheesecake. To help wash down your food, the unlimited drink option includes soft drinks as well as wine, beer or prosecco.

According to Joe Tilly’s website “the forever Freddie tribute show takes you through the amazing life story of the extrovert and iconic global superstar Freddie Mercury and Queen.” Guests can expect Joe to sing rock and pop classics including Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Don’t Stop Me Now, Fat Bottomed Girls and the all time classic, I Want to Break Free.
Blundell Street, which has been operating in the Baltic Triangle area just shy of two decades, has bounced back from covid and the bottomless brunch tribute events have been particularly popular, according to the owner Ann Downes.
She told the ECHO : ”At Blundell Street we have a wide range of events from drag nights to soul and Motown and the bottomless brunch tribute events are always great fun. We have some of the best tribute acts in the country and Joe Tilly has a great reputation for his Freddie show. It'll be a fab afternoon of top live entertainment, great food and plenty of drinks of course. We've been doing this for 18 years now and it never gets boring."
The bottomless brunch will set you back £40pp is made up of 90 minutes worth of unlimited drinks and a two course meal. Alternatively, guests can enjoy Afternoon Tea with a glass of fizz for £25pp.
