Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff has been seen with his healing facial injuries ahead of his TV comeback.
The former England cricketer suffered severe facial injuries and broken ribs after a horror crash at the Top Gear test track in Surrey in December 2022.
At the time, he had been driving an open-topped car going at 130mph when it flipped and slid along the track at Dunsfold Aerdrome, and was subsequently airlifted to hospital.
On Tuesday, the sports star looked in good spirits as he posed for photos at the Cricket Association of Bengal amid filming the second season of Field of Dreams.
In one photo, the Ashes champion could be seen smiling while dressed in a black T-shirt and a pair of sunglasses.
A source told The Sun: “Everyone is thrilled Freddie is gearing up to get back to work. We know how much this series means to him.
“It was a passion project that was loved by the viewers, so it's great it will mark his return.”
Last week, Flintoff was pictured in neighbouring Sri Lanka where he met members of the Lancashire Cricket Academy on tour.
The father-of-two could be smiling in the images and seemed at ease as he chatted with youngsters and posed with Sri Lanka spin-bowling great Muttiah Muralitharan.
The TV presenter, 46, has kept a relatively low profile while recovering from the horror crash, although a source said how he was ready to “get in front of a camera again” after the accident.
A TV insider told The Sun: “This will be a huge comfort to his fans because it shows he's healing well and returning to two of his greatest passions - sport and television.
“It's obvious that there is some scarring, which everyone expected, but Freddie looks to have made huge progress since he was last seen in public playing cricket.”
