Midfielder Fred has admitted that it is "indescribable" to sum up how he is feeling following Manchester United's entertaining 4-2 win over Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.
The Brazilian, who stepped off the bench during the second half to replace Paul Pogba, played a key role in helping Ralf Rangnick's side complete a famous double over their rivals from West Yorkshire, scoring their third goal after quick-fire strikes from Rodrigo and Raphinha had brought Leeds level.
United found themselves two goals to the good at half-time thanks to goals from Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes, but Leeds scored twice in the space of just 24 seconds to ensure they were back on level terms just nine minutes into the second half.
But as Leeds continued to pile pressure on United in the hope of completing a famous turnaround, United chief Rangnick made a double change, introducing Anthony Elanga and Fred in place of Jesse Lingard and Pogba.
It was an inspired move by the German as Fred allowed United to regain the control they had enjoyed earlier in the contest, as well as him finishing emphatically to put United 3-2 up.
Having made such an impressive impact from the bench, Fred, seemingly, found it difficult to sum up his emotions.
On Instagram, the Brazilian posted: "All glory to God. The feeling of victory today is indescribable! #faith."
The midfielder has, by and large, been a scapegoat at Old Trafford this season, but he was the difference-maker against Marcelo Bielsa's side, producing a fine 27-minute cameo.
Hailing his impact from the bench, Fernandes, who netted United's second of the contest, told MUTV: "Obviously, Fred is a player that works hard, and he is the kind of player who does not get a lot of media (attention) because he works hard, recovers a lot of balls.
"He and Scotty (McTominay) are two players who are really important for us in many games. I am really happy for him, also for Anthony who gets his goal, he deserves that."
