Manchester United midfielder Fred hopes welcoming Barcelona to Old Trafford for the second leg of their mouth-watering Europa League showdown will prove to be a decisive factor.
After finishing as runners-up in Group E on goal difference, United have been made to do it the harder way in their quest for silverware this season. Barcelona were eliminated from the Champions League at the first hurdle and they are among the favourites to reign supreme in this competition.
There is some time to go before Fred and his teammates head to the Nou Camp on Thursday, February 16 (5.45pm) as the La Liga pacesetters return the favour seven days later on Thursday, February 23 (8pm). It means a night under the Old Trafford lights awaits for two European heavyweights as Fred plots a route to the last-16.

"We were drawn against Barcelona. It will be a great game, I'm sure we are ready for it. Players like playing in great fixtures like these ones and we are prepared for this game. God willing, we can qualify for the next round."
Fred added: "Our stadium always has a great atmosphere with the fans constantly behind us. We haven't done as well in the last few seasons, but they have always been together with us, supporting the team.
"I'm sure they will be here against Barcelona supporting us, they will give us strength to get the win. That's why it's so important to play in front of our fans and get a result here."
