NEW YORK — Celebrity con artist Anna “Delvey” Sorokin plans to film a reality show in the East Village apartment where she’s under house arrest.
“There’s nothing like the experience of bringing together a curated group of friends to share life stories and enjoy a great culinary experience,” said the 32-year-old convicted fraudster in a press release distributed Wednesday.
“Delvey’s Dinner Club” will feature Delvey hosting socialites, journalists, creative types and whoever else she invites for intimate dinners catered by private chefs. Supposedly no topic — including the host’s five years behind bars — will be off-limits.
“The show will go behind the scenes with Anna as she reinvents herself and her name, reintroducing herself to New York City and the world, one dinner party at a time, and the only way she is allowed to do so: at home,” the press release said.
Delvey spent four years scamming her way to a luxury lifestyle by conning fellow jet-setters out of more than $200,000 between 2013 and 2017. Born in a working-class city in Russia, Delvey posed as a German heiress while staying in top-flight hotels, dining at fancy restaurants and hobnobbing throughout the city’s art scene.
Her next gig, which is being produced by Butternut media company but has no home so far, will let the public “share a glimpse of the real Anna Delvey,” she said in Wednesday’s announcement.
“There’s nothing like the experience of bringing together a curated group of friends to share life stories and enjoy a great culinary experience,” according to Delvey.
TV audiences got a glimpse of Delvey in February 2022 when Netflix released the nine-part miniseries “Inventing Anna,” starring Bronx native Julia Garner, whose performance garnered an Emmy Award nomination.
