Frantic search launched for man missing from Highland town since Wednesday

A frantic search is underway to trace a man missing from a Highland town.

The last sighting of Michal Jakubiak was in Fort William on Wednesday, June 7 at 7.30pm.

The 52-year-old has not been seen or heard from since.

Michal is described as being of a stocky build, with short brown/greying hair and has short, grey facial hair.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black jacket or hooded top, a black vest top, dark trousers and was carrying a black backpack.

Anyone who believes they have seen or spoken to Michal since Wednesday evening is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference 3692 of June 7.

Meanwhile, police are also looking for missing 19-year-old Daniel Dwyer, who has also been missing since 11am on Wednesday, June 7. The teen was last seen on Niddrie Mains Road in Edinburgh.

Daniel is described as 5ft 10i, of a slim build, with blue/green eyes, short dark blond hair and stubble. He was last seen wearing a blue and green checked shirt with a grey hood, black tracksuit bottoms, and black and white trainers.

Anyone who may have seen Daniel, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting 4314 of 8 June 2023.
