Police have launched an urgent search for a missing man last seen leaving a property in the early hours of the morning. Andrew Linton, 43, was last seen in the Corsehill area of Kilwinning at around 5.35am on Wednesday, February 22.
He is believed to have left the address on foot and has not been since. Officers are asking for the public's help in tracing the missing man as concern grows for his welfare.
Andrew is described as being around 5ft 6ins tall and of stocky build. He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, a light-coloured beanie hat, black trousers and black boots.
Authorities believe he may also be wearing a grey hooded jumper and be in possession of a rucksack. He is said to be local to the area and speaks with a local accent.
Inspector Alex Beagrie from Irvine Police Station said: “Andrew speaks with a local accent and is local to the Kilwinning area. This behaviour is out of character for him and we have a number of police resources out looking for Andrew.
“I’d ask anyone who may have seen him, or a man matching his description, since shortly after 5.30am this morning to get in touch and report any sightings so we can investigate.”
Those with information should call Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0514 of 22 February.
